About the Africa IGF 2024
The Africa IGF is the region’s leading platform for fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation on Internet Governance issues. This year’s theme, “Building Our Multistakeholder Digital Future for Africa,” focuses on inclusivity, cybersecurity, and digital innovation. The forum will bring together stakeholders from diverse sectors to address the challenges and opportunities shaping Africa’s digital landscape.
Civic Digital Security Forum
The Civic Digital Security Forum will explore critical issues of digital security and rights, highlighting their importance for youth and civic spaces in Africa. Topics will include:
- Safeguarding digital platforms for civic engagement.
- Strengthening online privacy and data protection.
- Addressing challenges such as misinformation and cyber threats.
Through discussions led by experts, the forum will contribute to building a secure and inclusive digital ecosystem in Africa.
